Managerial Accounting

Managerial Accounting is a specialized branch of accounting that keeps track of a company’s financial transactions and provides relevant information to external parties such as investors, creditors and tax authorities. Using standardised guidelines, the transactions are recorded, summarised, and presented in a financial report or financial statement such as income statement or a balance sheet.

The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the business concepts and methods used to report managerial performance information to internal users and managers to assist in making sound business decisions in managing the firm. This course will help the student to understand the fundamental concepts of managerial accounting.
